 I've made a Counterfeit kit for August. Here is the original.

I've found what I can that looks similar. Greens, yellows, florals, fruit, pompons, typewriters.

I kept summer in my mind as I searched.

I've named my kit "Summer Shines" 

Now to get cracking on some challenges.

Male room hobbies

 Today's card is for the Male Room. The theme there is hobbies.

I immediately thought of racing cars so found this die cut of a vintage racing car. The background paper is a bit busy, but the appropriate colour.  The actual card is turquoise.

As it is for a 60th birthday I will give it to a neighbour who turns 60 very soon.

Paper Issues (Friends and Fans) scraplift

 

We are asked to scraplift Kate Blue's lovely layout.

I chose pinks mainly, but added a bit of other colour with my Kaisercraft collectibles. There was a largish dream catcher which I used under my photo then some other feathered items in the 2 smaller areas.

The photo is of Mum and my daughter who had a lovely relationship.Erica came to visit Mum in the nursing home, which she really appreciated.

I finished off some enamel dots on this layout as well.

Lasting Memories

 

This is the colour palette #3 for July.

The picture took me back to a picnic get together I had with 2 friends and our babies.

I'm sure all the colours are there.

Try it on Tuesday and Beautiful blossoms.

 

In my stash is these covers from an old notebook I owned. 

I cut one piece so that the white label part is in the centre.

Next, I found a circle with scalloped edge and a watercolour painted flower garden. The pink matches the background, so I used it. My sentiment says keep smiling.

This will go into my get well cards.

Shopping our stash

 

While I'm using purple cardstock, here's another challenge that will suit. POPSICLE COLOURS at Shopping our stash.

I used a strip of the dark aqua with vellum overlaying it. The scalloped border contains popsicle colours too. The large circle sentiment is recycled but the colour is perfect. Both the lilac colours are there, one is the background. I added some enamel dots just for fun!

I had to photograph it as my scanner is playing up today.

Neglected stuff

Last night I found some old playing cards in my stash so began covering them with scraps of patterned paper.

For Neglected stuff challenge I added one of them to a card. along with some dots that are also many years old.

Lasting memories mood board.

 

It's whale season here in Australia and the are often seen off the coast heading north. I went to some famous cliffs above Kurnell beach to see if I could see any. Alas there were none! People with strong binoculars said they were further out. 

I used the 3 photos I took on this layout. I had a paper that had a round map of the world so started with that. I added a circular photo then several tags that toned in with it. I added the 2 landscape photos horizontally across the lower half.

Junk journal cover.

 I've just covered my Junk journal which is now complete. I used the last 2 papers from my Counterfeit kit plus some smaller items on the front cover.

I will use mod podge to cover it and protect the smaller pieces from coming off.

Li'l red wagon and last 4 pages of Junk Journal

 Here are the last 4 pages of my junk journal.I've made 33 pages! The first one is PINK. Coincidentally, Li'l red wagon has been mind reading again.

Their current criteria is pink!

I couldn't flatten it very well because of the bulky book. I used 2 playing cards which I made look like doors and used gift wrapping paper to match the roses on the door.

Alphabet challenge blog.

 One more challenge for today, again using the black cards.

This one is for the Alphabet challenge blog. where it is F for Festivities.

 A friend's son, that I have known since birth, is getting married. I made an extra special card for them.

I used a kaisercraft pad I had featured muted flowers. There were also stickers to match. I mounted them on neutral coloured card, then attached 2 bunches with pop dots. They make the card 3D.

 I put the sentiment "happy day" and a tiny heart on the card.

Inside the card I have put the same flower sticker again with a message saying the best is yet to come. 

Addicted to CAS and Li'l red wagon.

 I've made a card this morning for the Addicted to CAS 

The code word is UP.

I have some black cards to use and thought of sympathy card,so here's my idea.

Ive put a matching balloon journal card on the inside to write on.

My next black card is foe Li'l red wagon.

Sometimes I think this particular challenge is psychic. They often match up to a project I'm working on.

Theme of this month's Counterfeit Kit is music.

I used a tag I made years ago, maybe 20 years ago!

It fits with the theme and will be good for Christmas thank you at church.

Junk journal using Artstacks

 I've made 3 more junk journal pages using the things I bought from Artstacks.

Here they are.

This leaves me with the pink canvas to use. I'm still deciding about that one.

Build a layout at the scraproom.

 

I started with a summer paper featuring dragonflies and another pink floral paper. I added twine and ribbon across the bottom. I used mixed alphas from "Double churned scrap board alphabets" plus a sticker word that said blessed. I found some buttons to co-ordinate and there you have it! 

The scraproom jumpstart sketch

 

This is the jumpstart sketch at the scraproom. I decided to rotate it 180 degrees.

I used 2 papers from my Counterfeit kit plus a lage doiley. The orange papers are scraps I had.

My alphas are enormous but I'm trying to use them. I just dotted some enamel dots and small diecuts as my embellishments.

Something went wrong on the layout but I can't figure what as I matched with the stripes all the way while making it.Maybe it is an optical illusion. I've even measured to check.

Anyway enjoy it for what it is...colourful! 

li'l red wagon

 At Li'l red wagon they have a see through challenge.

I took a paint chip and punched 2 daisies in it. Next, I turned it over and covered the holes with pink spotted paper. I punched another daisy from matching paper and after adding washi tape, placed it in the centre. I added a brad as a final embellishment.

The male room

 I had a cover from a Kraft 12 x12 paper pad. It featured stripes of all the papers within. I decided to cut the cover up and make 2 cards. Nothing gets wasted here!

My first is for The male room, where they want hobbies. 

I had a webber BBQ sticker left from a Simple stories sheet so used it on this card. Lots of men like cooking BBQs.

The second card has a black daisy glued to it. It would work for anniversary or engagement maybe.

As you like it challenge

I've covered a biscuit tin I found in a clearance sale for As you like it this month. 

I started with the tin. I used Ruby Rocket Reminisce paper and matching cardstock stickers. 

Vintage lace was used around the edges and on the top of the lid. The crochet flower came in a prize pack so I made it my centre feature. I put Bella bling flourishes on the opposite corners.

Finally, I cut some leaves from green polka dot paper and added those.

I will add something inside the tin and give it to a friend for a gift.

613 Avenue create

 My next card is for 613 Avenue create. I made a tag using mixed media and want to use it . I had some music paper so put that as my background, then added the tag on top. Forst I used a light blue watercolour wash on my tag. Next, I misted in red through a stencil to get the herringbones. Finally I added the bird sticker.

My sentiment said every love story is beautiful. This can apply to several different scenarios.

I'm also entering this on Creative Artiste mixed media challenge.
