Obviously, it has a travel theme with brighter colours.

I started with my papers

I managed a map paper, a black and white diagonal check, a multi coloured squares, 2 diagonal striped papers and a pastel pink with small figures on it. 

I've added papers by Kaisercraft "Summer Breeze" as well as Bella "chevron"(with maps on the chevrons) plus Basic Grey "Bow ties" and Jillybean soup "Chit chat chowder".

For my embellishments I compiled this group.

The spoons came from hospital where I was recently. I can tie a bow around them on a layout.

I've added journal cards with a travel theme, plus chipboard Eiffel tower and clouds and a tortoise and crocodile (not shown). I made some tabs from scraps of paper. I also added embroidery cotton and ribbons. (some not shown).

I decided on green alphas and some ready made words I had left from last month. 
 I have also found a bag of various sized hot air balloons so added those as well.

This month I'm working on a travel diary documenting my travels since I was a child.

They won't be layouts but still feature holiday photos.

Cardz 4 guyz

 

At Cardz4guyz their theme is a body of water.

 I've made a Bon Voyage card for a friend going on a cruise.

It is alluding to the ocean with the clouds at top and anchors at the bottom plus the words going across say Ocean waves. 

Farmquest General store challenge.

This challenge is anything goes for Farmquest general store challenge.

A couple of years ago I went for a trip around some of the country towns in NSW. One of them was Parkes which was founded by Sir Henry Parkes, a famous politician

I made this layout as a tribute to Parkes' past.

There's no general store but the layout has a definite country flavour.

The picture in the centre was so sweet with the angels (cherubs?) that I wanted to make it the main focus. 

I used sparkly enamel dots down the left-hand side plus a simple sentiment.

Challenge yourself.

 At Challenge Yourself this time they want scallops.

I made this layout of us meeting up with a Canadian scrapbooker. We were travelling around Vancouver and Stephanie and her husband took us to Granville Island.

I've used 3 lots of scallopey edges om the left hand side of the layout.

Sewing at Li'l red wagon

 At li'l red wagon they want sewing on our projects.

I always save those little sewing kits you get at motels etc as they often come in handy for a loose button or whatever.

I've made a card for a friend who is often travelling.

I used 2 of those mini sewing kits plus faux stitching around the edges of the card.

I'm pleased to see that I was featured last week.

Sketch Saturday and The flower challenge

 At Sketch Saturday there is this sketch.

I have some diagonal bright striped paper so decided to make 2 cards. This first one is using the above sketch.

My next card is for the flower challenge. They want spring colours.

I think my striped paper qualifies for that plus I topped it with fussy cut bouquet of flowers.

I added 2 butterflies and washi tape in pink that says LOVE.
