July Counterfeit Kit

 Welcome to another Counterfeit Kit.

I've been doing this for over 9 years now so this is around about my 110th kit (and I still have papers left!)

Tina is choosing this month and says

"As the summer months come into being so does vacations so I thought that this would be a great kit to inspire us to get out those vacation theme scrapbook items and those vacation pictures to be scrapped."

HERE'S MY KIT

"Ticket to ride"

MY PAPERS

The black spotted one top right is clear acetate with black spots.I put white under it so it can be seen.

I've also added this mini 6x6 pad of papers because they are similar to the kit doileys.

MY EMBELLISHMENTS

I then gathered embellishments around the travel theme and co-ordinating with the above.

There's tickets, paint, flowers, washi, journal cards, twine, coasters, embroidery cottons, plus some transport pictures cut from an old picture dictionary. My main theme here was black and green.

I've also just added enamel dots and maps which I may cut up or use.

You will notice there are no doileys. I can't find any in the shops.

For ALPHAS I've chosen a mix of green and black.

Welcome to Clem Reid , our guest designer for July.

My time to craft

At my time to craft they want fruit.

I used a multi coloured striped Kraft as my background and 3 die cuts. One says "Good on you" and the others are an apple and a pear.

Alphabet challenge and Cardz4galz

These 2 cards are made using the same background and ribbon.
I used a vellum butterfly and sentiment on the first one and am entering it at the Alphabet Challenge
(Could be a birthday card)
There's a  die cut on the second one.Which I'm entering at Cardz 4 Galz

Shopping our stash and Time out challenge

At shopping our stash they want gnomes. Luckily I had a couple hiding in my stash. (He He)

I used pink paper and matching alphas to make this for a girl because pink is usually popular.
Hope you like it!

At Time out challenges they ask for tropical

I've made a card for friends who are going on a cruise soon.

I used a background which reminds me of the sea then strips of fishing net paper plus 3 small stickers and a tag with a palm tree motif.

It all adds up to a tropical holiday with the starfish and hibiscus.

Through the craft room door

I'm making cards now to use up smaller scraps and some of my cardstock.

This one is for Through the craftroom door where anything goes.

The flower in the centre is made by punching 4 flower shapes then folding into quarters. In this case I used vellum packaging  which I thought looked too good to waste (*recycling ).
The right hand edge has a distressed look to the actual paper, not my wonky cutting.
This card will go into the Mother's Day box for next year.

Lasting Memories frames.

We have been asked to use frames in an unusual way on this layout for Lasting Memories.

(I'm playing catch up now I have finished my Counterfeit kit.)

I had some offcuts from filmstrip frames that I didn't want to waste. I've used them as embellishments on here. After cutting out all those circles,I thought a different shape was needed.

I've also used filmstrip washi tape to echo the small frames.

Lasting Memories

At Lasting Memories they want us to use a seasonal paper on a normal layout.

On this one I had a Christmas paper and used it for documenting my trip to Grose Mountain near Vancouver. The pine needles were very appropriate on here as we were surrounded by pine forests.

I punched maple leaves across the bottom because it was in Canada.
