Li'l red wagon

 At Li'l red wagon they want washi tape.

I've used 2 strips of blue washi n this card.

I splashed the background with blue mist. Then added the ship picture plus 2 strips of washi tape.

Finally, I added my number.

Double Trouble challenges and Simon Says

 At Double Trouble challenges they want white with one colour. 

I've chosen "opera pink" as my one colour and used a versatile flower stamp I have owned for years.

My cardstock is shiny so it takes longer for the ink to dry,but I like the effect.

I also used up some alphas in a matching colour, for my sentiment.

The dirty marks are on my scanner ,not the card.

Next I have made a card for Simon says stamp where the emphasis is on recycling.

I started with 2 lots of packaging, one was from a Fancy Pants mini book and the other was Kaisercraft flowers.

Next I used a cream paper from the centre of a scrapbook album plastic sleeve.I stamped it with "memories" stamp then coloured over it with "Old Paper" distress ink.

I used a ticket shape again cut from packaging,(Maggie Holmes) and used a chipboard oval shape. The tiny sheep was cut from an old Easter card. The other 2 items are from Cosmo Cricket. The black tassel came from a bra I bought,it was on the packaging tag.

I haven't put a sentiment on it yet as I'm not sure how I will use it.

Lasting Memories Finishing touches

 

Here's my cousin Pat with 2 of her grandchildren. I've used a variety of embellishments and my final touch is sequins top right and bottom left.

I really like the way this came together and might scraplift myself at some stage.

Sketch 'n' scrap card sketch.

 

Here's the sketch for a card at Sketch 'n'scrap.

I've chosen a tropical theme involving mainly pinks. There's no sentiment as I want to use it for a note card.

613 Avenue creates and Path of Positivity.

 

I've made this card for 613 Avenue Creates.

They gave us this colour palette and we are asked to use succulents.

The closest I could find was this yukka. So I put that on my card.

At Path of Positivity we are asked to celebrate something special about our childhood.

One of the biggest memories for me is my parents fostering a love of books and stimulating my imagination. I poured over my childhood books and when it came time to get rid of them, I kept some of those memories. 

I've had in my stash a picture of a gypsy caravan with fairies and pixies driving. Around it are several animals. I also had this stamp so cut out the 2 frogs or toads and made this card using the pictures.

At least these 2 pictures can go on to make someone else happy! 

Sketch Saturday and The Male Room

 I found this sketch on Sketch Saturday so made a card.

Mine is a taller slimline card to fit the envelopes I currently have. 

My sentiment just says "today". Could be for a birthday or whatever occasion is needed.

The flower bottom right is a Kaisercraft Curios (like a bubble of resin). 

At the Male Room they want animals.

I had some fox tags, so cut this one off the tag part and made it a picture to hold my 21.

 (The numbers are clearer in real life)

Sketch 'n' scrap sketch and double trouble.

 I've used another sketch at Sketch 'n 'scrap to finish off my kit. All the whole sheets of paper are used now. This is the sketch

 I had a white lacy background paper which works well. I've used redas my immediate mat for the photos then a pale blue snowflake paper as my other mat. The long strips are both off cuts from my kit.

I adhered a red flower in the bottom corner,keeping the Christmas idea going,and used red alphas. dribbles of red mist complete my layout.
