Sketch 'n'scrap card challenge

 

Here's the sketch 'n'scrap card sketch.

I'm also entering it at Cardz for guyz where they want something with the letter P.

These are pots or pods from a Eucalyptus tree,made famous in the Australia classic book "Snugglepot and Cuddlepie". I cut them from an old greeting card and recycled them on this card.

The striped paper in the background is another from my stash bash kit.

Sketch 'n' Scrap

 My first layout using the Stash Bash kit is for Sketch 'n'scrap

As my photos were from a zoo, I didn't use hearts.

Using my stash busting kit, I started with a chevron background then cut into "The great outdoors" paper, most of which is a neutral grid. By carefully angling it I fitted the 3 photos of animals at Mogo zoo, plus the embellishments.

I've used the brown flower (cut in half), the windmill, a tab sticker,a small notes sticker and one of the tags with bird and walnut ink.There's also the cloud at the top,another sticker I had.

The campfire,orange tab,caravan cluster is printed on the paper, but it sort of goes with the theme. My daughter was on holidays when she took these photos.

Last but not least, the words zoo and fun finished off a set of alphas. Hooray!

Stash Bash kit

 

I found this group on Facebook so decided to make up a kit to get some more papers used up.

I chose this as my kit.

I'm going with a nature theme, mainly browns,as I seem to have a ton of brown stuff.

My stickers are all the leftovers I can find. The 3 or 4 embellishments are large flowers, journal cards, a windmill, and some round tags I made with stamping and walnut ink. Scrap papers are on the right.

Atlantic Hearts challenge and other cards

 During February I plan on catching up with using bits and pieces from my stash.We tend to accumulate "stuff" that somehow we never use.

An example is some baby die cuts. I think I won them on a challenge site.

Also I made these 3 cards to use all the diecuts.

I'm doing the mini kit for February for Counterfeit kits. This will appear here on 6th.

Daring cardmakers and Seize the birthday.

 Good Morning.

Today I've made a card using a frame for Daring Cardmakers.

I started with a white embossed background. The frame was cut from an old birthday card and glued onto the embossing. I inked the centre of the frame with Versa Colour ink Cyan.

Finally I added my number or sentiment to the centre. 

I'm also adding this at Seize the birthday where they want embossing on a birthday card.

Lasting Memories Black and white challenge.

 At Lasting memories they have a black and white photo request.

I found this old sepia photo of Mum when she was in the church choir. It made a good subject to go with a bingo card I have had for ages that says "FAITH". I've been wondering how to use it.

I've used a variety of old patterned papers plus a bird picture and some lace and ribbon. 

Tuesday Taggers and Fab and Funky.

 I'm using up the few days left of January to make some tags from some scraps.

My first one is for Tuesday Taggers.

They want a quote so I made a vintage tag using a teabag, then walnut ink for my background. The quote comes from a Kaisercraft scrapbooking paper.

I added 2 gold heart brads as my finishing touch.

Next, I've made a card for Fun and Funky challenges..

I've used 2 tags as layering pieces plus patterned paper to make a sea themed card. It will go into the male card box.
