Atlantic Hearts challenge.

I've made a card for Atlantic Hearts challenge

I used a woodgrain paper as my background and a tilted picture from Darkroom Door. The sentiment is also Darkroom Door. I glued 2 wood veneer flowers and used tiny dots as my highlighters.

Lasting Memories Polkadots

On this layout for Lasting Memories, I used as many polkadots as I could find.

I misted the background white cardstock first with green.

The main paper on here has polkadots, the 3 punched flowers have polkadots, the brads in the centre of the flowers have polkadots,I added dots around the edges of the scalloped trim at the bottom and my title is matted on polkadots too. When I look closely, even the trees in the photo have polkadots.

Maybe I've gone dotty!

This was in London and I asked my daughter to do a "hug a tree" photo.

Atlantic Hearts challenge and shopping our stash

I've used this sketch on Atlantic Hearts challenge

and the requirement is wood grain on Shopping out stash.

The card is for my oldest Great Nephew who turns 21 in September. He loves red so my sentiment is in red mini letters but I also had the key background paper that I wanted to use.

Let's capture our memories-Sequence

Because I copied and pasted the required options, the whole post is highlighted in white! No idea why, sorry.

August 22nd - LM #562 - Team B - Sequence - This week I am giving you 3 options for your challenge:

Option #1 - Create a layout with a grid background -

Option #2 - Line up your photos in a row across your layout - this can be vertically, horizontally, or on the diagonal.

Option #3 - Show us a sequence of events in your photos - or now and then photos, or before and after photos.

I've chosen to do a sequence vertically featuring my love of washing up.

People think I'm nuts but I enjoy washing up and the warm water soothes my hands.

I've used a red doiley and blue mesh background plus a red and white patterned paper background. These were chosed because of the colour of the tongs and tupperware bowl.

The title is actually cut from the pack of "For the Record" papers I had in my stash.

Scrap room throwback sketch.

On our recent trip to Kangaroo Island we went and did the Raptor Show and it was amazing. The hosts were very accommodating and the guides very informative. People of all ages were able to get up close and personal with raptors of all shapes and sizes from owls to Wedge Tail Eagles, if you are here it is a must do. We would do this again.

I've scrapped a page about that based on this sketch

Here's my layout.

CKC Challenge #1 Diagonals.

Our challenge is based on a design principle. To use the diagonal on your page!

I looked back for examples of how I used diagonals previously.

By far the one that stands out is "So What", but I'm fresh out of giant birds on Kraft background.
***********************************************************************************
I decided to use the design of IN BLOOM with the two big triangles of patterned paper.
I used more of the Heritage papers from my kit.

Please note the clusters featuring Autumn Lane flowers.
The vintage buttons are over 100 years old. My great grandparents were tailors.
You can see my diagonal clearly doesn't go corner to corner, I didn't have enough of that paper. However it still fulfills the design idea.
Close ups here.
