At Lasting Memories they ask for polkadots.
I had 2 dotted papers in my Counterfeit kit so used both on this layout.
It is an old photo that a friend found in her box of memories and features myself and ex husband when we first moved to the country town of Goulburn. They are a family of mainly women so using pink was appropriate.
I decided to cut curves and make a feature down one side ,then complimented that with doileys.
The buttons add some interest.
My title was ready made but also curvy so suited this layout.

Use your stuff use your scraps.
The new challenge at Use your stuff is use your scraps.
I had 2 layouts featuring lilac today, so used the remaining paper to make this card.
We hope you will join in the fun.

Unstampabelles
At Unstampabelles they want a tropical theme "Paradise pretties" with a twist, into the wild.
I made this layout in blues and greens mainly
I've also used string, 2 x ricrac, a shiny clear chiffon ribbon plus buttons.
The two ivory(?) or bone rings are from an old button box.
My title and the flower on the right are from Crate Paper "Oasis" range.
The flower on the right to me is pretty and the green leaf paper hints at wild.

Let's get sketchy

At Let's get sketchy there is the above sketch.
Because I put grey in my Counterfeit kit, I wanted to use some of it. The background paper was perfect for this wedding layout (from the 1980s.). I conveniently had a journal card saying just married, so used it instead of a second photo.
I used washi tape threaded through paper buckles for my corner pieces.
The wood veneer stars came in handy also.
Kraft plus
The challenge at Kraft plus is to be inspired by floral art.
I had the perfect photo for this that Erica took at night time Floriade in Canberra.
It features colours of purples and yellows mainly. So I went with that colour scheme.
My layout is here.
I painted the yellow flowers as they were apricot and used magic mount behind the fussy cut orchids.
The black FWAB stem was perfect for this and the brads had flowers too.

Night time in pink.
I'm starting my kit this month by using some of the pink paint I included in my kit.
It is an old Li'l Davis metallic Shades paint in rose.
It has almost dried up so I cut the end and added some water to help spread it.
I decided it needed to be a mixed media layout so used distressed ink on bubble wrap over the paint then stamped using a floral stamp. The paper I matted the top photo on featured tulips, very appropriate :)
I also used a tag plus some quotes and 2 photos of my daughter at Floriade night time event.

November Counterfeit kit
Our November kit is from https://www.scrapdelight.nl/product/68571/dls-design-add-paper-12quotx12quot-winter/
There's lots of winter colours and ideas here. (Might keep me cool here in sunny OZ)
I'm approaching this a different way this month since I have TOO MANY PAPERS !!!!
I dug out all my greys, mustard/gold tones and blush pinks.
Then I made this list:
clouds
checks
coffee mug
asterix
pink & white with dots
grey with mustard dots
wide painted stripes
Cozy, happy, cold,
lights
house
snowflakes
add a little sparkle
logs
grid with splotches
a touch of navy/darker blue.
****************************
I found stamps of clouds, banner (to replace lights) and a mason jar (to replace coffee cups).
I found die cut snowflakes
wood veneer houses and stars
silver and navy washi tape
gold doileys
white and bronze coloured pearl dots
tags in grey and mustard and blush
paint in gold and pink. I can make grey with black and white mixture.
Presenting my November kit
SWEET SUNRISE
Papers in colour groups: Greys

And my embellishments
That's it for this month!
