Sketch 'n'scrap scraplift for Birthday Bash

 Now here is the Chip it suggestion for my photos

and here is the layout that we asked to base our scraplift upon.It is based on one by Jen at http://livethemoment-jen.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/sketch-n-scrap-birthday-bash-scraplift.html

I've gone with the Inverness green and a neutral white and black for my corner strips.
My buttons are in the Feverish pink and the copper red (brown).
My title is in the rose pink. The 3 pearls are in co-ordinating colours too.

The only major difference I made on the layout was my title.
The alphas were too large to put on the left hand side.
I swapped the positioning of the journaling strips and the title.
I do not have one of the die cut machines to cut out letters like the one in the sample layout.

Sketch & scrap card challenge

This is the fabulous sketch from Sketch n scrap.
My color inspiration is from colorQ challenge # 120.

 

I’m entering this card also to Seize the Birthday, Anything Goes challenge.
There is a tiny flower on the sentiment shape but also the 2 scalloped circles I'm counting as flowers.

Sketch n scrap layout challenge

Another challenge today at Sketch n scrap.
This time it is an inspirational sketch #5


This enabled me to use more Counterfeit Kit items including these cute flags from D-Lish scraps

 

I've kept it reasonably monotone and now regret using the turquoise alphas on it, as it doesn't stand out. I can't remove them and not enough room to doodle around them.

 

Overall I'm content with how this layout looks.

Sketch n scrap with 2s.

Surama's challenge is to make something using 2 of everything.It also needed to be to celebrate something.

My daughter gave me this Kikki K pack last Christmas.
I have used
2 patterned papers
2 washi tapes
2 cakes
2 tabs(including the sentiment)
2 pearl embellishments
2 rhinestones.

Sketch N Scrap 2nd Birthday Bash! **Circles**

This sketch is for Sketch N Scrap's birthday bash and in particular, Darcy at Our house of E.
She has asked for circles to be used on your layout.

I went overboard using paper with bubbles on it and circle vellum as well.2 of my embellies are circular too and I have stitched the 2 circles in the design.
The lower one is around the pink journaling tag, so harder to notice.

C'est Magnifique at Versailles

It certainly is!

I was lucky enough 5 years ago to fulfil a dream and visit Versailles.
This photo was from the map room.

I've decided to base my layout on that.

Firstly, I didn't have any chipboard gates, but had a Twiddlybits spiral staircase and Picture frame.
I inked these using "Inca Gold" which is applied using a rag.
Next, I misted the background slightly with True Turquoise glimmer mist.
After matting my photo on strips of paper I added a variety of flowers, including tiny Prima flowers and pink rosebuds.
I focussed my Tattered Inspirations globe about halfway up the LHS of the photo, almost opposite the real one in the photo.
3 Fleur de Lis gold brads added some royalty to the layout.
Inside my gold chipboard frame, I have added a photo of the Dauphin's portrait, cut to size.

Citrus card challenge 210

The challenge there is to use citrus colours on your card.

I wrapped lime twine around the yellow background and made washi tape stripes.
I found a scrap featuring yellow and orange zigzags.
There is a cream lace border with a thin brown stripe.
I added 3 punched orange flowers as my feature.
