flair buttons at Counterfeit Kits

The tutorial on Counterfeit kits was about using flair buttons on your layouts. After researching what a few of the design team have done I've used the resin bubbles that were available once to magnify tiny pictures on cards etc.I've long since thrown away the packets. However,I was able to use them on this layout and also used a duck tin pin from October afternoon plus a matching brad.Luckily,I also found duck printed vellum.

A2Zscraplets reindeer layout.

I recently received my prize for winning last month's A2Z scraplets challenge. In amongst all the wonderful chippy was the gorgeous stag deer.It went so well with my 2 Christmas reindeers that sit on my dining room table that I used it straight away on this layout. I left it raw so it would stand out.

Counterfeit kit challenge #2 Cookie cutters

My sense of humour came to the fore when doing this layout.I started by printing ducks and bunnies over the pastel pink/white background. The only animal thing I had a photo of handy was Zombie bunny made by my daughter. So I combined cute and scary!!!!!! The music sheet said great in power so I used the title part(scary) with rubons of cobwebs and skull(scary) and a tin pin by October Afternoon of a shocked man's face(scary). The black chevrons washi tape also adds a scary feel. Then I used a duck(cute) plus Fun & games(cute) and pink gingham ribbon(cute). The carnival words on the RHS are a mixture.I used a red z in the title to represent blood. This was a fun layout to do!!!

Raggedy Ann at Child's play challenges

When I was a child I had a Raggedy Ann box game which I loved. It had cards that went together to make up a picture of Raggedy Ann and Andy.(Like a jigsaw).Mum saw that this fascinated me,so she made a Raggedy Ann Doll for me which sat on my bed for years. When Erica was born, she too had Raggedy Ann to play with.We still have her. So I've used the photo to make this layout. I stuck to the RED/WHITE/BLUE colour scheme.

Frosted designs choose 4

It has been a day of firsts for layouts. This one is for Frosted Designs We are asked to choose 4 things from the following list to include on a layout.rubons, transparency, brads, eyelets, misting, punches, stamps and stickers. My 4 are Punches=the flowers, rubons=topiary trees(coloured), brads=centre of flowers and sticker=5 number. Unfortunately, despite doing all 12 challenges for Frosted Designs before Christmas I was not a winner! It was a busy time and used up lots of scrapping items.

Lollipop ladies DT application

The Lollipop ladies are looking for a new DT. Here is the stimulus photo
and here is the link http://thelollipopladies.blogspot.com.au/ And here is my card.It features a photo of 3 "all day suckers",cut to fit the card.I've then wound twine around in a circle to create 3 more lollipops. It is on Adorn-it paper "Notebook" and I've used a striped ribbon to finish off the edge. The sentiment says GREAT,making it an all purpose card.

Wooden embellishment

This is another challenge at counterfeit kits to use a wooden embellishment on a layout.I tried to buy some but couldn't so I've decorated a popstick using rubons and twine. The papers, stickers, flowers are all from my counterfeit kit too.I used purple alphas because it matched the photo better.
