Use your stuff

The challenge at Use your stuff this week is monochromatic.
I've chosen aqua/turquoise colours. (I find this varies from site to site, so call it what you will).
using items from My Counterfeit Kit, I've made this card.

Let's get Arty and Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1.

Using Chip it I have been given this colour palette.

Over at Let's get Arty we are asked to use at least 4 of these colours on our work.
Aged wine(backing paper)
Extra white(leaves, button & flair)
Red bay(flowers)
First star(metallic elements)
Tricorn back (ribbon flower and title).

My border also qualifies this for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1 To create an interesting border.
I tipped out my "bitza-shitza" jar and used random metal bits on my mesh to create a metallic border.

Here's a close up of that border.

Merry Monday Christmas card challenge.

The challenge at Merry Monday  is to use red and green on a Christmas card.

Easy! My card has a tree patterned background with a large star as the main feature.

Another smaller sparkly star with a Teresa Collins brad saying JOY is my sentiment.

City crafter and Shopping our stash.

Over at http://citycrafter.blogspot.com.au/ the challenge is washi tape.
and at http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.co.uk/ the challenge is to use metal.

I started with an offcut of striped Christmas paper, mainly because it matched the washi tape at the bottom of the card.
Next I found an old metal circular item which I glued to the centre of the card.
On my desk were some small ribbon bows. The red one turned the metal into a type of wreath.
I added a Teresa Collins brad with NOEL sentiment and there you have it!

(Does that bow look like a moustache to you?)

Stuck on U sketches

Here is the current sketch at Stuck on U

I've decided to turn it upside down, like this.
I'm using the Kaisercraft Sweet Charlotte range.

I've mounted some of the carnations on dots to make them 3D.
The doileys were lightly inked with sage ink to soften the white glow.
